The Dispatch Center

The Dispatch Center is the dispatcher's own console, separate from the police and fire/EMS terminals. Go on duty as a dispatcher from the dispatch portal, then the console updates live; there is no need to reload.

Layout

  • Units: every on-duty police and fire/EMS unit with its status. Change a unit's status from here.
  • Calls: the live call board. Pick a call to see its details, timeline, attached people and vehicles, and assigned units.
  • Side panel: BOLOs, tones, dispatch chat and the dispatch log (every change, including Signal 100).

On the in-game tablet the console switches to tabs: Calls, Units, Call, BOLOs, Tones, Chat and Log.

Tones, Signal 100 and panics

Tones you send play on every terminal, and panic alerts show the street the officer pressed it on (not just coordinates). If your browser blocks sound, a banner asks you to turn sounds on with one click.

Call History and Service Requests

  • Call History lists closed calls with a detail view; supervisor notes are only shown to supervisors.
  • Service Requests is an overview of tow and taxi jobs: open jobs, jobs closed in the last 24 hours and how many drivers are on duty. Drivers accept and complete jobs from their own Driver page; dispatch can release a job back to the queue or cancel it.

Who can use it

Members with the Dispatch permission (or community admins). Supervisors get the extra supervisor tools.
